Toronto city councillor Rob Ford’s sedated and in palliative care.
So says his chief of staff Dan Jacobs, who adds there’s been no change in the former mayor’s condition but that Ford’s now unconscious and sedated for the pain.
Jacobs, who said last Friday that Ford was alert and conscious, says family members are staying with him through the night and remain ”hopeful.”
The 46-year-old Ford was admitted to Mount Sinai Hospital three weeks ago but has not been strong enough to undergo more chemotherapy.
His last session was in early February.
Ford was diagnosed with a rare cancer in September 2014, and dropped his mayor re-election campaign.
Instead he successfully ran for a seat on city council.
