Prince Harry Invictus
The third-in-line to the British Throne hosted the first Invictus Games in London as a way to aid the recovery of wounded soldiers and support their rehabilitation through adapted athletic events.
Eleven Canadians competed in the inaugural games and brought home two silver medals.
This year, 30 Canadians will compete when the week long event’s held in Orlando.
About 100 Canadians are expected to take part next year when Toronto hosts the Invictus Games.
They’ll be the largest yet with more than 600 military competitors from 16 countries competing.
Prince Harry will be in Toronto in May to officially launch the games.
