Many in the packed Newmarket courtroom wiped away tears as Jennifer Neville-Lake took the witness stand to read her impact statement to the man, who pleaded guilty to a deadly drunk driving crash from last year.
She cried as she told Marco Muzzo, ”I don’t have anyone left to call me mom.  You killed all my babies.  I miss my kids.  I miss my dad.  I want my old life back.”
Neville-Lake told the court the home that once echoed with laughter has been eerily quiet since last September’s crash that claimed the lives of her nine-year-old son Daniel, his five-year-old brother Harrison and their two-year-old sister Milly along with her 65-year-old father Gary Neville.
“The roaring silence that has been left behind as a result of your actions is so deafening.”

Outside court, she was asked if she’s interested in what Muzzo will have to say at the sentencing hearing tomorrow.”
”I have absolutely no interest in hearing anything he has to say.  What can he possibly say to offer us any kind of comfort?  Oh I’m sorry.  What does that help me?”
Her husband, Edward Lake, said in his statement that he’s suffered from suicidal thoughts and intense anxiety since the crash and that the loss has affected their marriage.
