Judge Charles Vaillancourt has set aside February 22 to March 4 for closing arguments.
He’s asked to see written submissions from the Crown and defence in advance in hopes the full two weeks won’t be needed.
In all, the Ottawa court heard 61 days of testimony, beginning last April, then resuming in August during the start of the federal election and wrapping up Thursday with Duffy on the stand.
He’s pleaded not guilty to all 31 charges of fraud, breach of trust and bribery.
Senator Patrick Brazeau and retired Senator Mac Harb are also awaiting trial on expense-related charges.
Brazeau’s trial set for March, Hab’s is scheduled for August.
