Reports indicate the cost of the Trudeau government’s plan to settle Syrian refugees in Canada will be 1.2-billion dollars over six years.
The refugees will start arriving in Canada as early as December 1st, at a rate of about 900 people per day.
Health and security checks will be done by Canadian officials at refugee processing sites. Those who pass their health and safety will become permanent residents of Canada shortly thereafter.
Most of the refugees will come from Lebanon, Turkey and Jordan.
