Justin Trudeau will draw from a deep talent well when he unveils his cabinet this morning, a group that will be gender-equal.
The Prime Minister-Elect will be joined by a small number of Liberal MPs, fewer than 30, who have been chosen as cabinet members.
They will walk from Sussex Drive to Rideau Hall and the public has been invited to the grounds of the Governor General’s official residence to watch the swearing in ceremony which takes place at 10:30.
Names on cabinet have been kept a closely guarded secret, but there are reports some MPs seem certain to become ministers.
They include University-Rosedale MP Chrystia Freeland, Toronto Centre MP Bill Morneau, and British Columbia MP Jody Wilson-Raybould. Wilson-Raybould is the former regional chief for the Assembly of First Nations.
Those close to Justin Trudeau say he wants his cabinet to reflect Canada’s ethnic diversity.
