Sting and his wife Trudie Styler are putting some of their extensive modern art collection and a piano up for sale.
The auction at Christie’s in London will include drawings and prints by Gustav Klimt and Rene Magritte, Pablo Picasso’s lithograph The Checkered Blouse and Henri Matisse’s Jazz portfolio of prints.
Christie’s said today that the top lot is British artist Ben Nicholson’s painting March 55 (Amethyst), estimated at between $460,000 and $765,000.
Sting’s Steinway piano also features in the February 24th sale of more than 200 items from the couple’s home.
Sting and Trudie are moving to a new home in London.
