Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne says she isn’t bothered by the news that the union representing public elementary teachers plans to bring in what it calls “Wynne Wednesdays.”as part of its job action.
The Elementary Teachers Federation of Ontario has vowed to take its work-to-rule campaign to a higher level and is threatening one-day rotating strikes -among other actions – after negotiations broke off earlier this month.
Wynne says personalizing the work action by using her name is a political tactic – so she’s not taking it personally.
The Premier says the elementary teachers will have to settle for a deal – similar to the one worked out for their colleagues in high schools and the Catholic system.
