A week after halting operations and stranding hundreds of travellers, SkyGreece Airlines has filed for protection from creditors in Canada.
The Toronto-based company notified the Canadian Transportation Agency Thursday that it intends to make a proposal to creditors.
SkyGreece says the court-supervised restructuring ”will ensure that, over the long term, all stakeholders, including passengers, are treated equitably and receive fair compensation for their claims.”
Ernst Young has been named as monitor, that’ll communicate with creditors and customers of the airline that was founded three years ago and only started operating last year with one plane.
