The third and latest phase of the fraud trial of Senator Mike Duffy is over.
It concluded Tuesday after the cross-examination of the former director of issues management in the PMO, Chris Woodcock.

The Crown had expected to call Gerald Donohue, a friend of Duffy’s who was given Senate contracts that are alleged to be fraudulent.
But the senator’s lawyer says Donohue’s health will prevent him from testifying this week.
So, the next and final phase of the trial will resume November 18, almost one month after the federal election.
The Crown has not finished with all of its witnesses, then it’s the defence’s turn to summon theirs to the stand.
