No sooner will the Pan Am/Parapan AM Games finish next week and work will resume Wednesday on the Gardiner from Strachan to Bathurst.
They took a break for the games and will resume just as the CNE opens.
The work is not expected to be done until October 31– next year.
But the chair of the city’s public works and infrastructure committee, councillor Jaye Robinson, says they’re doing all they can to minimize disruptions.
For example, the daily closure of the westbound on-ramp at Jameson will be suspended while the work’s being done.
In other words, it won’t be closed between 3pm-7pm as it is now.
Traffic signal timing changes will be made on nearby routes in hopes of keeping things moving.
