Canadian Press reports that a source close to Nigel Wright says the prime minister’s former chief of staff is ready for a full disclosure of circumstances surrounding his secret payment to Senator Mike Duffy.
Wright begins his testimony at Duffy’s fraud and breach of trust trial tomorrow.
He’s expected to fill in the holes in the story of the $90,000 dollar cheque he wrote to the former Conservative senator in 2013 – to cover Duffy’s living and travel expenses.
The presence of Wright at the trial is breathing new life into the Senate scandal – with the election campaign underway.
