Toronto has placed bids to hold the Olympics several times in the past, and now again, there seems to be growing interest among city council members to bid to host the 2024 Olympic games.
Mayor John Tory tells Zoomer Radio he is positive about discussing the possibility of holding the Olympics, but wants to hold off talking about it until after the close of the Para-Pan Am games.
Tory says the city needs to weigh the decision carefully before making the bid which is due in by mid-September.
So far the only North American city in the running is Boston.
Over the weekend Marcel Aubut, head of the Canadian Olympic Committee, said he would support a bid by Toronto to secure the summer Olympics.
