Six world powers have reached an accord with Iran over its nuclear ambitions. As part of the deal, Iran will receive economic sanctions relief in exchange for strict monitoring of it’s nuclear program.
“Today, because America negotiated from a position of strength and principle, we have stopped the spread of nuclear weapons in this region. Because of this deal, the international community will be able to verify that the Islamic Public of Iran will not develop a nuclear weapon,” U.S. President Barack Obama said in a statement at the White House this past half hour.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu meantime, has insisted for months that the deal with Tehran is too lenient and will fail to prevent Iran from going nuclear, a result he said which will endanger the survival of Israel.
