Paintings by Canadian artists Emily Carr and Tom Thomson are among the highlights of tonight’s Heffel spring auction in Vancouver.  Seven Carr works are on offer, including “Forest Light” from her mature period, which has a pre-sale estimate of $400,000 to $600.000.  Thomson’s “Woods in Winter” is expected to fetch between $250,000 and $350,000.  In all, a total of 145 lots are in the sale and are expected to attract up wards of $10 million.
