Pan Am Games organizers say only two venues are left to be finished – with just 49 days to go – before the big summer event kicks off.
The committee says the Hamilton soccer stadium is complete as of today – so only the shooting centre in Cookstown and the Toronto track and field centre at York University remain to be completed.
Organizers say they’re about 53.5 million dollars under budget on their capital spending – mainly because the bidding for major venues was done four or five years ago.
More than 400-thousand tickets – or just about half of what’s available – have been sold so far – with several events sold out.
