There are calls for the resignation of Ontario Education Minister Liz Sandals as labour unrest in the education sector spreads.
High school teachers in Durham, Peel and Sudbury jurisdictions remain off the job, prompting Conservative education critic Garfield Dunlop to call for Sandals resignation.
He says the two tier negotiating system implemented by the government is a mess.
Sandals, meanwhile says she has yet to find out exactly what the key issues are in the high school teachers dispute.
Beginning Monday the province’s elementary public school teachers will begin a work to rule campaign. The ESTFO which represents the teachers is expected to define the exact nature of the work slowdown on Friday.
