As we get set for new regulations on alcohol sales in the province – Ontario Craft Brewers are making their voices heard – with a demand for better representation of their products in Toronto and elsewhere.

The O.C.B. proposes that the Wynne government allow established craft brewers to open at least one off-site store per brewery – and give producers the okay – to sell each other’s products in their locations.

Such stores – operated by small beer and winemakers – would be able to own and operate off-site retail locations – in addition to the L.C.B.O and The Beer Store.

The group says that would expand the reach of small producers – well beyond the outlets they’re currently allowed to operate.
