In what could turn out to be one of the entertainment events of the year, The David Foster Foundation has announced a fall fundraising gala in Toronto.
The charity founded by the decorated Victoria-raised music producer will hold a gala and concert at the Mattamy Athletic Centre within Maple Leaf Gardens on Sept. 26.
Guests have yet to be announced, the foundation’s last function in Calgary drew in a star-studded cast including Steven Tyler, Kenneth (Babyface) Edmonds, Jennifer Hudson, Jackie Evancho and Foster’s wife, Yolanda, along with the rest of the cast of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.”
The event raised more than $8 million, organizers said.
Founded in 1986, the David Foster Foundation raises money to support the non-medical expenses of Canadian families with children undergoing or awaiting life-saving organ transplants
