You won’t be able to buy this for your sweetheart in time for Valentine’s day, but,  if you’ve got really deep pockets, you might be able to snag a rare, 100-carat, emerald-cut, white diamond, which is going on the auction block in New York April 21st.  Sotheby’s says the internally flawless D colour gem is considered “perfect” and has a pre-sale estimate of $19  to $25 million dollars.  Only five “perfect” diamonds over 100 carats have sold at auction in the last 25 years.  A 118-carat oval-cut stone fetched $30.6 million at Sotheby’s in 2013 which was a record for a white diamond.
