Toronto now has six cases of measles – with the diagnosis of another adult patient.
In the past 10 days, four adults and two children have come down with the disease – and a woman in the Niagara region has also contracted measles.
Meanwhile – Toronto Public Health has written a letter to parents – asking them to get children vaccinated against measles – as the department investigates the outbreak.
They say if an outbreak occurs in a school, students with incomplete vaccination – or an exemption from receiving the vaccine – will not be allowed to attend school until the outbreak is over.
