TTC Metropass holders will soon be able to buy a $60 sticker for their pass – allowing unlimited travel on Go trains between Exhibition, Union and Danforth stations.
Metrolinx says the $60 fee works out to an approximate discount of 65 per cent – over the regular cost of using Go transit between those stations.
The stickers go on sale starting January 26th – ahead of the February first launch of the one-year pilot project.
Minister of Transportation, Steven del Duca says the government is committed to improving public transit and developing customer-focused solutions to making the daily commute and quality of life better for Ontario families.
Ward 19 councillor, Mike Layton has his own suggestion to improve travel times for constituents in Liberty Village.
Layton (Trinity-Spadina) says people should be able to access Go at Exhibition Station – for the price of a TTC token.
He says that would take a lot of pressure off the over-burdened King streetcar.
