The federal accreditation is being pulled – from the clinic where Joan Rivers suffered a fatal complication during a medical procedure.
The U.S. Federal Centers for Medicare Services say New York’s Yorkville Endoscopy – no longer meets conditions to be a supplier of surgical centre services.
The clinic previously submitted a plan it said would correct problems.
The Centers for Medicare Services says it’s terminating its health benefits agreement with the clinic on January 31st.
Rivers died September 4th at age 81.
New York’s Medical Examiner found she died of brain damage due to lack of oxygen – after she stopped breathing during an endoscopy days earlier.
