Ontario Lottery and Gaming says it’ll turn over more money to the provincial government through its new online site, PlayOLG.ca.

The location signed on today – and gamblers can now play casino-style games including blackjack, baccarat, poker, roulette and slots.

Wagerers can also buy lottery tickets on the new OLG site.

The Agency says Ontarians currently spend up to $500,000 a year gambling with online sites – not regulated by the province.

Gamblers have to register to use the new site and establish mandatory weekly maximums for the amount they wish to wager –  but they can take the money directly from bank accounts – or use their credit cards.

British Columbia, Manitoba, Quebec and all the Atlantic provinces already offer online gambling.
