For the first time in more than a year, Prime Minister Stephen Harper and Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne sit down for a face to face meeting today. Their last meeting was on December 5th, 2013, and Wynne has since embarked on a public campaign urging Harper to sit down with her. The last time Harper was in Toronto he met with newly elected Toronto Mayor John Tory, but not Wynne. The Liberal premier and the Conservative prime minister have publicly taken jabs at each other over pension plans, the provincial deficit and infrastructure spending. Following the meeting the prime minister will take in the Canada-Russia gold medal game at the World Junior Hockey Tournament at the Air Canada Centre.
