NORTH KOREA FACES NEW SANCTIONS OVER SONY CYBER-ATTACK

Washington’s imposed sanctions in response to the cyber-attack against Sony Pictures Entertainment.

President Obama signed the executive order allowing sanctions on three North Korean organizations and 10 individuals.

The White House says they’re in response to North Korea’s ”provocative, destabilizing and repressive actions.”

The U.S. already has sanctions in place over the country’s nuclear program.

The FBI has said it believed North Korea was behind the Sony hack and cyber-attack over the satirical comedy ”The Interview.”
