The United Nations Human Rights Office has offered an update on the war in Eastern Ukraine. A release says more than 4707 people have been killed and 10,322 have been wounded since the war began more than 7 months ago.  More than 1350 fatalities have been recorded since the much ignored ceasefire was declared in early September.

It says more than 5 million people are living in the conflict areas where they face rising hardships and some struggle to stay alive.

The report also notes lack of progress with several human rights investigations into alleged violations in Kyiv, Kharkiv and Mariupol.
