The Canadian economy exceeded expectations in the third quarter.
Statistics Canada says the economy grew at year-over-year pace of 2.8%.
Economists had expected the gross domestic product would grow by 2.1%.
For the three months ending September 30th, GDP was up by 0.7% following a 0.9% increase in the previous quarter.
StatsCan says growth was mainly the result of exports and household spending.
