The Toronto Symphony Orchestra is celebrating another successful season – both financially and artistically.
The orchestra toured Europe for the first time in 14 years – and also released its first recording with the internationally respected Chandos label.
The season marked the 10th – for Music Director Peter Oundjian – and the audiences at Roy Thomson Hall and George Weston Recital Hall totalled just over 257,000 people.
The TSO announces a surplus just above $222,000 – with ticket sales representing 37 percent of total revenue.
Board Chair Christopher Hodgson says the successful season wouldn’t have been possible without the tremendous support of patrons, donors, foundations, corporate sponsors and government.
