Four Ontario families have come together – to battle large-scale wind energy projects.
And their lawyer has compared the wind turbines to a noisy neighbour who’s always in your face.
In London, the families are trying to get the court to declare provincial legislation – related to the approvals of large-scale wind farms – unconstitutional.
The Drennan family lives near Goderich, in southwestern ontario.
The group is one of those involved in the first challenge to the Green Energy Act – to make it to the appellate court level.
The Drennans say the law is stacked against them – in terms of health impacts.
In the packed courtroom the judge at one point admonished the crowd – for applauding some of the submissions.
