More bad news for Jian Ghomeshi.
The Polaris Music Prize has removed the former CBC host from its jury.
47-year-old Ghomeshi was among the more than 200 journalists, broadcasters and bloggers who vote each year on the $30,000 music award.
The Polaris is given to the best Canadian album of the previous year.
CBC fired the former radio host of the show “Q” last month.
Ghomeshi says he was let go because of CBC’s fears that his “rough sex” life would become public – and damage the reputation of the corporation.
8 days ago, Ghomeshi’s bosses were shown graphic evidence that the host had caused physical injury to a woman.
Since then, stories of 9 women have been published – accusing Ghomeshi of harrassment, physical abuse and sexual assault.
Three of the women have gone to Toronto police – who have begun a criminal investigation into Ghomeshi’s behaviour.
