Almost 70 years after her death, iconic Canadian artist Emily Carr has her first show in London.
Carr is one of Canada’s best-known artists, but she is virtually unknown overseas.
But experts predict that will finally change – with the Carr show at the Dulwich Picture Gallery.
It’s the same place which had record-breaking success three years ago with another Canadian show: “Tom Thomson And The Group Of Seven.”
Some of the works for the Carr show have come from the Art Gallery of Ontario’s collection.
“From The Forest To The Sea: Emily Carr in British Columbia” is being exhibited at the Dulwich Picture Gallery until March, next year.
The show opens at the A.G.O. in Toronto next April.
