World-renowned violinist Hilary Han is being forced to extend her unwanted sabbatical.
Hilary Hahn was expected to resume performing this weekend after being sidelined by an inflamed muscle. But she has had to cancel her scheduled performance of Bach violin concertos in Cleveland because the inflammation is still an issue.
Hahn announced in July she was taking six weeks off because of the muscle strain. She says she has been making steady progress, but her doctor has advised her not to begin performing yet.
She hopes to resume her schedule in Europe next month with performances in Luxembourg, the Netherlands, and Germany.
