Iraq’s prime minister claims that captive Islamic State terrorists in Iraq and Syria have told his intelligence people of an alleged plot to attack subways in the U.S. and Paris.
But a senior Obama administration official says no one in Washington’s aware of such a plot, adding the claim never came up in meetings this week in New York at the United Nations.
The Iraqi prime minister and President Obama met yesterday and apparently nothing was said.
There’s been no official comment from France.
However, some French officials contacted by the Associated Press say they knew of no plot.
