Have you ever had a desire to conduct a world-class orchestra?
You will have that chance on September 26th. The Toronto Symphony is going to pick someone from the audience at Roy Thomson Hall to join Maestro Peter Oundjian at the podium.
The event will kick off the fifth edition of the national celebration of Culture Days.
Would-be conductors have to arrive at Roy Thomson Hall on the 26th between 10:00 and 11:00 AM to register. The event takes place from Noon to 1:45. One lucky registrant will be selected to conduct two minutes of either Dvorak’s New World Symphony, Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto Number One, or the Colonel Bogey March.
The TSO has posted online videos of Peter Oundjian showing Stratford star Colm Feore how it’s done.
