The medical director of the facility where Joan Rivers went into cardiac arrest during a routine procedure is no longer with the clinic.
A spokeswoman for New York’s “Yorkville Endoscopy” clinic says Doctor Lawrence Cohen is no longer the medical director, nor is he performing procedures there.
Cohen is a respected gastroenterologist.
He’s listed as a co-owner of the facility.
81-year-old Rivers died September 4th at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City – a week after going into cardiac arrest.
The state health department is investigating.
