Her daughter Melissa says she was surrounded by family and friends.

Rivers was rushed to New York City’s Mount Sinai Hospital last Thursday after she went into cardiac arrest during a routine procedure at a doctor’s office.

The raspy-voiced comedian opened her early standup routines with the trademark line – ”Can we talk?”.

Rivers, who got her big break in 1965 on ”The Tonight Show: Starring Johnny Carson”, and continued to appear in clubs and on TV up until her death.
