The ZoomerMedia family is expanding!  The New Classical 96.3FM (sister station to The New AM 740) can now be heard in the Georgian Triangle area of Ontario at 102.9FM.

John van Driel is the Vice President of Programming and Operations at MZ Media Inc.  He says, “102.9 will be broadcasting in large part what we broadcast on 96.3, but it will also have separate broadcasts in terms of special community arts events, a bit of history from the area, and also a lot of the people who own businesses in that area will be able to advertise on 102.9.”

For listeners to The New AM 740, van Driel explains, “it’s part of the Zoomer family as AM 740 is, and there are a lot of similarities between AM 740 and the Classical station.  We both play the best of the best, both stations feature classics of all time.  And for people who are listening on AM 740 in the area, they have an alternative.  So when you’re sitting on the dock of the bay, you get to hear not only that tune, but also the great music of Bach, Beethoven and Mozart.”

The New Classical 102.9 FM begins broadcasting this Saturday August 30th at 10am.  John van Driel along with ZoomerMedia Founder Moses Znaimer will begin the broadcast with a special show to launch the new station.
