JK Rowling has added to the Harry Potter universe she’s created.
The author has unveiled a short biography she’s written about a minor character from the Potter books.
it’s about Celestina Warbeck – a glamorous singing sorceress – who is a favourite of Mrs. Weasley’s.
The character resembles singer Shirley Bassey and was only mentioned briefly in the Potter series.
Rowling calls Warbeck one of her favourite “offstage” characters in the whole series – and writes that Warbeck’s special abilities include tap-dancing – and an extraordinary voice that can “drown out a chorus of banshees.”
