As autumn creeps ever closer, many people are wondering whether we’ll get any typical summer weather at all this year.

Acccuweather.com meteorologist Brett Anderson says we may even see some frost in southern Ontario in September.

Next month is expected to be a bit cooler than normal – with a late surge of warm Indian Summer weather in October – leading to a colder and wetter than usual November.

A weak El Nino system is creating warm conditions off the Pacific coast of South America and that affects the jet stream that moves across North America.

Two streams typically develop: The Polar – with colder air north of it getting pushed even farther north – and The Subtropical jet stream carrying most of the precipitation and storms.
