For the second time this week, Broadway theatres will dim their lights.

Wednesday night, marquees went dark in tribute to Robin Williams.

Tonight, they will do the same for Lauren Bacall.

The stage and screen star – and widow of Humphrey Bogart – died Tuesday at the age of 89.

Bacall appeared on Broadway several times, and won two Tony Awards – one for “Applause” in 1970 – and then for “Woman of the Year” in 1981.

Both musicals were based on movies. “Applause” was taken from the Bette Davis film “All About Eve,” while  “Woman of the Year” came from the movie of the same name that starred Bacall’s friend, Katherine Hepburn.
