Rob Ford he’s ”shocked” by a just released report that suggests Canadians spend more on taxes than they do on food, shelter and clothing combined.
The mayor told reporters at his re-election campaign headquarters in Etobicoke, ”while across the country we see higher and higher taxes, but in Toronto, we are doing things differently. We are doing more with less.”
Ford says that’s what he promised four years ago and vows to continue to do, not if but when he’s returned to office, ”My approach is putting taxpayers first and protecting your wallet … I’m committing to keeping your taxes much lower than the rate of inflation.”
