Britain’s military charities are bringing back a hundred-year-old hit to mark the centenary of the First World War.

A new video of Pack Up Your Troubles in your Old Kit Bag features serving military, veterans, celebrities, and the Military Wives Choir.

A choir organized by a British military charity braved torrential rains to perform the song yesterday in front of London’s Tower Bridge.

Aubrey Powell is the grandson of the man who co-wrote the song. He calls it the “viral hit of WWI” because everyone was singing it.

George Powell wrote the song to boost morale and a sense of unity among troops and on the home front.

The new recording will benefit S.S.A.F.A., a military charity that supports the military, veterans, and their families.
