Southern Ontario, from Windsor to Kingston, was hit by severe thunderstorms Sunday night. There are unconfirmed reports that a tornado touched down the Grand Bend area, along the shores of Lake Huron. Environment Canada may send a team to that area today to try and confirm the tornado reports. Funnel cloud sightings were also reported in some other locations. In addition, trees came down and there were power outages in parts of southwestern and central Ontario. Some localized flooding was reported in the Toronto area, hail fell in Brampton and some flights were delayed at Toronto’s Pearson Airport.
