The question is direct.
The answer not so much.
The premier’s being urged to clearly state if she’d be in favour of a possible coalition with the NDP if the Tories win a minority June 12th.
While campaigning in Markham, Kathleen Wynne said, ”I’m not ruling out anything except working as hard as I can over the next 16 days to make sure that we get to Queen’s Park and we can implement our plan. I’ve demonstrated how I can work in a minority parliament. That’s how I would continue to work in a minority parliament if that is what the people of Ontario decide.”
In Toronto, NDP Leader Andrea Horwath also refuses to say much about a possible coalition, pointing out such talk must wait until after the election.
On the matter of a provincial pension plan, Horwath said New Democrats would consider it if there’s still a federal government refusing to tackle pension reform after next year’s federal election.
Meanwhile, during a stop in Niagara Falls, PC Leader Tim Hudak defended the numbers used for his Million Jobs plan.
He says the calculations are based on a ”mountain of evidence” that tax cuts create jobs.
