A rehabilitation facility in cottage country has confirmed that the Toronto mayor is there undergoing treatment.

GreeneStone Muskoka says it’s ”releasing this information with Mr. Ford’s consent.”

The residential addiction treatment centre in Bala goes on to say, ”We ask that the public and the media respect the privacy of all the patients at GreeneStone, to ensure they receive the most comprehensive and effective treatment.  We take our patient care and confidentiality very seriously and as a result will not be commenting further on this matter.”

The confirmation comes a week after Rob Ford was spotted in Gravenhurst and Bracebridge where he posed for photos with residents.

And earlier this week, his SUV was impounded after a woman was arrested behind the wheel not far from the facility and charged with impaired driving.
