Sports and the Arts are often seen as two separate worlds that rarely intertwine.
But some members of the Toronto Symphony have crossed the divide. Seven principal musicians of the TSO — including conductor laureate Sir Andrew Davis — created a special YouTube video backstage at Roy Thompson Hall to salute the Toronto Raptors ahead of their game against Brooklyn tonight. They played a special arrangement of two songs by Toronto rapper and Raptor ambassador Drake by Principal Double Bassist Jeffrey Beecher.
They end the video with a Raptors cheer.
The Raptors play the Brooklyn Nets in game five of their first-round NBA series tonight at the Air Canada Centre.
