Reclusive author Harper Lee is giving the world a present on her birthday: a digital version of To Kill a Mockingbird.
E-book and audio-book versions of the 1960 classic will finally fill one of the biggest gaps in the electronic library.
The story of Atticus Finch, his daughter Scout, and the mysterious neighbour named Boo Radley is coming out in July
Lee says she still prefers “dusty” books. but she has agreed to make her classic novel available to a “new generation.”
Harper Lee turns 88 today. She published To Kill a Mockingbird in 1960. The enduring classic has sold more than 30 million copies worldwide and still sells more than one million a year.
