Celebrated film director, David Cronenberg is releasing his first novel.

It’s titled “Consumed” and is due to be published September 30th.

Cronenberg is renowned for his unsettling and violent films such as “The Fly”, “Dead Ringers,” and “A History of Violence.”

A publisher’s release says Cronenberg has written: “an extraordinary, sexually charged novel of dark impulses and appetites that reminds us the boundaries of lover and beloved aren’t nearly as defined as we believe them to be.”

Cronenberg also has a new film ready for release.

“Maps to the Stars” launches at this year’s Cannes International Film Festival.
