After a career that spans more than half a century, you’d think that Mel Brooks would have done it all by now.
He’s won Emmys, Oscars, and Tonys. He’s written and directed. He’s even played Moses.

But what Mel Brooks has never done is a one-man show.
Until now.
The 87-year-old writer and director of comedy classics including The Producers, Blazing Saddles, and Young Frankenstein will star in his first solo show Monday at the Geffen Playhouse in Los Angeles. It’s being billed as an “an introspective retrospective.”
The sold-out show will have only one performance.
If he enjoys himself, you can bet there will be more.
